Love the place and the ambience! The food is wonderful, the staff are friendly and the validated parking is the reason we go there. We take our friends from out-of-town there regularly.
I didn\'t find the ribs to be that great. In fact, I\'ve been here half a dozen timesand the ribs were either tough, meatless or chewy. St.Hubert is the king. However the atmosphere is quite cozy, professional and always busy.
The food is good, the service is decent but the RIBS are excellent. Hands down, one of the best places for ribs in Ottawa.
Last year, I had a terrible experience that I like to reminisce since reading the review on the restaurant 18, the review done on February 25th. The meal as I remember was fine and the service was ok, but nothing exceptional. The restaurant was really noisy because of the tight poor table arrangement. What happened after the meal is what I want to complaint about. When we left, my mother forgot an expensive bottle of port which I bought for her as a present. When we call the next afternoon and told them about the bottle left behind, next to her chair, they said they would check and call me back. I did not hear from them for 2 days so I called again and was told that nothing was found. I call again the following day and spoke to the manager at which time he ask me to search my car again in case I overlooked it. What a mockery!! His next excuse was that a costumer must have taken it and I simply told him that we were one of the last customers. At this point, he knew I was serious and said he would ask his employees again. He called back the next day and apologize that nothing was found and there is nothing he can do about it. I told him that was a better answer than insulting my intelligent or blaming it on his customers. I think these review site are important because restaurants should take responsibility for their actions or their own staffâs dishonesty or else, they will be exposed for what they are.
The food was alright at best but the value was not there. Noisy,poor sitting arrangements and poor service.
Good food, decent service, but definitely too cramp and noisy. Unfortunately, there is probably nothing they will do about it as it all comes down to making that extra dollar. I won't be going back unless its with a bunch of guys after work.
