Hi all, new to banjo (and here) but been playing guatir for the last 20 years (admittedly quite badly, but i get by). I have various guatirs from teles to les pauls and 12 string acoustics. Now i own a banjo as well .only trouble im having is finding a local teacher to point me in the right direction. Living in Fife, Scotland and i cant find anyone nearby.Can anyone help?thanks guys
Lobby has great detailing, the most unique lighting show in Ottawa, and some fantastic service ! They always smile and have suggestions for new drinks :) we also really enjoy the extra large dance floor - which has risers and swings!
Their ViP section is really great too - there are 2areas for bottle service. 1 which stretches around the dance floor completely, and another which sits above the side and main bars - which has enough room to dance and is high enough to see the entire bar.
The music is dance oriented - with mashup, pop, vocal house and they'll even throw in a sick rock song once in awhile! even better, they have an electric guitarist, saxophonist & a great conga drummer that rip in on top of the music -- AWESOME. What more bars really need to be, instead of cramming too many people together.
Went last week. Sucked. Music was bad. Employees were bad. Whole experience was bad. Never going back again!

Music was good but bartender sucked. Had to go to the other bar. Took me 15min to order! Dude kept talking to his friends or something. and the gus there seemed really old and... Creepy. Felt like I was in a room with my dad"s friends :S
amazing music. amazing venue. great staff. a real great sense of security too, women feel safe, men cant really be the "big shots" and start heat. great place to check out for sure!
TERRIBLE! guy staff was inappropriate and disgusting. went into girls washroom. tried "locking" stall by getting on top of the toilet and looking around? really? and bouncer tried to kick some girl out even though she was still in the washroom with underwear down. who does that?!
LOBBY has awesome dance music. If you want to dance all night, this is the place to go. It's a nice change of pace from the clubs that play top 40 or throw back hip hop. They have really fun theme nights too, and they go all out for those.
Service is really a 6 out of 5 - go see the guy on side bar on friday nights! Lots of different recipes and drink ideas :)) it's really what gives it value for the cost! the atmosphere is nice - it's comfortable(plenty of seating), relaxing w/ no attitudes, and everyone buys each other drinks which really helps make it fuN! The music is predominantly Dance, Vocal House and they do play some mashup that hits every hot song in the last10yrs but remixed w/ a new beat!
The good stuff: Lobby is one of the few places in Ottawa where you'll find the most beautiful people in the city. The DJ plays great music, the bartenders are hot, and the people are friendly. The bad stuff: Drinks are a little on the expensive side, and it's so popular that it can get pretty crowded (and sweaty!)
Lobby has incredible entertainment & some really good bartenders! Door staff are friendly; this is not the place to ever see a fight - it is a business class clientelle 25-35, nicely dressed, fantastic lightshow & great dance music!
