5/5 Zellers Inc

I worked at Zellers for almost a year and working there actually really sucks. They don't care about you too much. You don't really do much training. They just pretty much throw you on the floor and expect you to know what you're doing. The managers there can be rude at times. It's very disorganized there as well. For instance, if an item had to tag which means no price, there isn't any other way we could look up the item. Apparently, we would just have to find the "closest" thing to it and that would be it. No wonder HBC isn't making any money! As a former employee and a consumer, most of the time, whenever I would buy something, the price advertised would not be in the system so there's the waiting which can get pretty frustrating because it would take a very long time.

5/5 Starbucks Coffee Company

I'm a 100% Starbucks girl and even though it's expensive, I still very much love it! I usually go to the one in Elmvale as it's the closest to my place. I usually order the Green Tea Frappuccino and their White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies and as always, they are very well made and delicious. Everyone there is super friendly and they gave me a free cookie one day for being a loyal customer. The atmosphere there is definitely nice as well. There are a lot of outlets for laptops, they maintain the place very well by sweeping and wiping the tables once in a while. I don't drink coffee but I really like the smell of it while I'm there.

It was my first time trying gelato and I'm glad I tried it here. When I walked in, the place was very colorful and vibrant. There was a lot of selection and I liked how we were able to taste a certain flavour if we were unsure.

5/5 Red Lobster Restaurants

I've only been to Red Lobster once and I can't wait to go back again! Seafood is my favorite type of food so I was very impressed with Red Lobster. The waitress we had was very friendly and she took the time to get to know our names. I liked appetizers on the house like the salads and the biscuits and the food came approximately 15 minutes after the appetizers were served to us. Though it was very expensive, what I ordered was very much worth it. It was fresh and delicious.

1/5 Mangia Restaurant

I went to this restaurant for my friend's birthday and the only reason why I enjoyed myself was because of my friends. We had a private room which was pretty nice. Our server seemed very inexperienced and the waiting time for our food was very long. I ordered a seafood salad which was a bouillabaisse and it was honestly not good and filling. I find the food there to be ridiculously overpriced as well. Definitely not worth your money and time.

5/5 Pho Bamboo Vietenames Restaurant

I constantly go back to Pho Bamboo. The servers are very nice and friendly. I've also met the owner and she's very nice, sweet and family-oriented as she brings her kids to the restaurant all the time. I usually order the seafood soup and you definitely get more than what you paid for. The portions are big, especially the rice plates. I very much enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant. The music is soothing and the sound of the fountain is very relaxing. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

4/5 168 Sushi Buffet

I very much enjoyed my experience at 168. When I first entered the restaurant, I thought it was very nice and super fancy. The booth seats were very nice and comfortable. I liked the fact that they had pictures of the food and unlike other sushi buffets, I loved the variety of the food. I was surprised to see that there was a few selection of dim sum which was definitely a plus for me because I love dim sum! I also loved how their seaweed salad was available for lunch as most sushi buffets would only serve them for dinner. The service was very fast although once, they ended up missing one of our food orders. I was very impressed with the price as I didn't have to pay extra for my drink and for the ice cream. Overall, a great experience.

2/5 GoodLife Fitness

I've gone to the GoodLife Fitness Walkley on and off for more than a year now and I can happily state that I will definitely not be renewing my membership. The majority of the staff are nice and friendly but there are some that don't make you feel welcome at all. Some would just take my card, scan it then give it back to me without even looking at me. I find the equipment to be too close to each other which makes me feel unsafe at times and I like having my space. During the summer, it gets super duper warm in there that at the end of my workout, I pretty much look like a penguin -- my face gets really pale and my cheeks become super red. During the winter months, it can get really dirty due to the snow outside, especially on slushy days. I go on the elliptical a lot and I find that some of them can get pretty dirty and muddy. I have no problem with the change room, only I believe they need a few more benches, especially during the peak hours of the day. The group exercises are usually fun. I go to Zumba weekly and I find that it gets too crowded. I basically don't have enough room to move. I would definitely not recommend this specific club. The only convenience for me is that I live very close to the club.
