2.4/5 Sushi Kan

Good sushi, but probably one of the worst services I have had at a restaurant. The servers spilled drinks on us, did not replenish napkins, and never cleaned the used dishes of the table, leaving little space. The washrooms were filthy. I will rate this restaurant higher when they improve their service quality. It is also quite expensive

4.2/5 New Generation Sushi

I've tried many sushi restaurants and this one is one of the tastiest. I would recommend it to everyone, including those who have never tried sushi before. Because it gets so crowded and busy, service tends to be quite slow. Prices are very affordable and it is a place definitely worth going back for both dine-in and take-out!

3.6/5 Kiko Sushi Bar

I recommend this restaurant for sushi lovers, and to those trying sushi for the first time to get a real taste of what it should be like. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting, it smelled delicious when you walked in the door. The place is nice, clean and the decorations are simple and modern. The place is overpriced for what you get and the sushi was very average. Although it is better than some places in Ottawa, it is not the best. Service could also use improvement, as it was a little slow. Overall I was pleased with the meal. It hit the spot but it was nothing spectacular.

4/5 Banc Sushi

The place looks kind of plain from the outside but very warm and comfortable inside. Their AYCE sushi was good. Their portions are generous but I pay a little extra to get the sashimi and sushi cut really thick and they always do a fabulous job! The rice tends to be very pasty and cold and the dumplings are a little oily but okay. One thing about banc sushi is that they have really great service and the waiters are very nice.

4.8/5 Yummy Sushi

Yummy Sushi is a great little sushi place. I've always had a great experience and it is great value for the money. I’ve been to almost all sushi spots in Ottawa and they are all run pretty much the same. However, this spot holds one difference that I really enjoy: you can order one of each roll! I find that all the other spots don’t give you a choice: If your craving spicy salmon rolls – you better be ready to eat all 6 of them! With this spot you can get all adventurous and try out all sorts of other sushi. The service is great! It’s quick, really friendly and they are open late. The restaurant is spacious and has an open concept (doesn’t have booths for privacy).

4.4/5 Genji Japanese Restaurant

I ordered the 14 piece sushi plate. Everything was fresh, tasty and nicely presented, and what I could see of the open kitchen in front of the sushi bar looked clean enough. Service was friendly but a bit slow. The flavours are pretty close to the real deal, but the rice was a bit vineagary. I did find it to be a little too overpriced.

Don't let the outside of the building fool you. I was expecting typical in-land sushi (dry, sticky, no flavor, etc). I was so wrong. The fish was so fresh. My only complaints are the very slow service and that they were forgetful with my order. There are other AYCE places in Ottawa with similar quality food and better service. The price was very reasonable for an AYCE. All they ask is that you don't waste the food.

4.5/5 168 Sushi Buffet

I visited 168 Sushi about 2 times in the year 2010 and I must say that I left the place happy every time. Even thought I didn't exactly what order, but can't complain with their lunch buffet price. On top of that, I am a big eater and I sat there for 2 hours but the foods and I ordered were brought very fast. I really like it.
