We visited Lago this past Wednesday evening. The place was very quiet, similar to the last time we were there. The food was excellent and the service was very fast. I would definitely rate this restaurant as fine dining as the decor, ambiance, food presentation and service were all outstanding.
Pho Kim is one of the best vietnemese restaurant in this region. This pho restaurant is very reasonably priced, huge portions and the service was excellent. Very polite servers.
I just ordered these wings, from house the pizza, and I asked specifically to not overcooked them. As you can see they are very dry and very disappointed. I guess most people order wings with sauce and this dryness is hidden with the sauce.
The new shoppers drug Mart in Manotick opened two weeks ago and now we have three pharmacies.
Just like the other shoppers Drug Marts, this location is very spacious and it also includes specialized services such as passport photos and consultation with the pharmacist (in a separate consultation room). The pharmacist and staff were very helpful and took their time to explain some of the questions I had.
A very nice, well decor busy restaurant. We had the calamari diavola which was grilled nicely with spicy tomato sauce. The fusilli genovese with whole wheat penne, and pieces of chicken breast, dry tomatoes and red pepper in a tomato sauce was also done well. My disappointment was the Zuppa di pesce, which was a broth with assorted seafood. The salmon was well prepared, but the scallops were small, and overcooked along with the shrimps, and the mussels were minuscule in size. It will be a while before we come back.
Mystiko is one of the best Greek restaurant I have been to. The Grill Octopus was very original, exceptionally cooked and marinated. The rack of Lamb was generous in portion and done to my perfection. My wife had the charbroiled Lamb loin on a skewer which was also well prepared. Overall, we were very pleased and we will be back.
There are so few places in Manotick to eat out that we are willing to try any restaurants in this little town. We have driven down the main street a few times now and have never notice this restaurant. To our surprise, the food, ambien, prices, and service were quite good. I was told this restaurant was only open since June 2010 by our waitress Laura. They have done a nice job and I hope to check their terrace out in the summer.
Good food, very nice staff, I really enjoyed my meal, and the price was nice as well. Peter, the owner is very friendly and helpful.
This place is very over rated. We were there in a group of 8 and I can honestly say that nothing special came out of this outing. The place was dark, noisy and the food was average. My prime roast was their specialty and was only available in medium rare. That was fine with me, but the meat turn out to be drained of all its juices. It was cooked fine but it had no taste and no texture. Ottawa is lacking decent steak houses when a place like this is packed and offer food like what I experienced. Most of my friends agree with my comments.
Finally renovated!!! My first concern was that the food will also improve from what I had last time. I was right. Overall, my experiences was great and the new owners were there to greet all their customers.
